Artist Bio

Rex Miller Concentrates primarily on landscapes and figurative painting. He especially enjoys southwest themes. With each painting he attempts to capture a mood from the setting that touches his inner soul. Often it is one that evokes emotions of serenity and nostalgia.

His original interpretation of painting leans towards realistic impressionism. Miller's works are primarily done in acrylic, watercolor and pastels.

He began painting at an early age and studied briefly under the renowned Texas artist, Tom Lea, and under artist Robert Massey.  Miller is basically self-taught through his sharp eye and ability to transfer what he sees and feels before him to his composition.

He spent most of his working life in the corporate business world with little time to paint. He has freelanced in commercial art throughout the years. It is only recently he has dedicated himself to becoming a full time painter.  Miller's work can be found in private collections throughout the United States and Europe. The Dutch Art Gallery in Dallas carries a strong representation of his work and its diversity.
